About this project

A striking new artwork made from more than 5,000 images contributed by local schools, families and community groups alongside images from the International Bomber Command Centre Digital Archive, will be unveiled at Lincoln Arts Centre this November. The large-scale digital mosaic, printed on aluminium to echo Lincolnshire’s aviation heritage and brought to life with soundscapes, lights and projection, is the county’s contribution to Our Freedom: Then & Now, a nationwide programme of 80 artworks commemorating 80 years since the end of World War II.

Over the coming weeks, people across Lincolnshire are invited to contribute by submitting images that represents their own idea of freedom via the form above.
